You will also find volleyball courts, a playground, and gymnastic equipment at this beach, which happens to be a filming location of many iconic movies. Will Rogers State Beach is known to be a bit more quiet and less crowded than neighboring beaches in Santa Monica or Malibu.Â
Temescal Gateway Park in Pacific Palisades is a beautiful natural reserve filled with hiking trails and natural flora and fauna. The 114-acre park is a favorite location for Los Angeles residents, featuring a trail of varying lengths and difficulty, picnic tables and grassy areas, restrooms, meeting rooms, an auditorium, and classrooms. Residents enjoy many educational programs throughout the year in the park, as well as a conference and retreat center with overnight accommodations.

Also located in Pacific Palisades is The Getty Villa, not to be confused with The Getty Museum that is also located in Los Angeles. The Getty Villa was established before the museum, and is open to the public for free, showcasing art, sculptures, and gardens from 7,000 years of human history from the Stone Age to the fall of the Roman Empire.
